Patent:
Generally there are three different situations:
New applicaiton: This is a new design and patent was never registered before.
Patent Registered elsewhere: If a patent is registered in another country's patent office, within twelve (12) months, the same patent can be applied for registration with priority.
Patent Registered elsewhere and has applied for Patent Cooperation Treaty, the priority of the patent can be extened to 18 or 24
